libbio-asn1-entrezgene-perl software package provides parser for NCBI Entrez Gene and NCBI Sequence records, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libbio-asn1-entrezgene-perl
libbio-asn1-entrezgene-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libbio-asn1-entrezgene-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libbio-asn1-entrezgene-perl *
You will get with libbio-asn1-entrezgene-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
